Bio
Dr. Michelle Crum has experience in molecular biology, virology and pandemic preparedness. She joined the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler in July 2020 as an assistant professor after years of teaching undergraduate biology courses to pre-professional students and engaging in bench research on various topics including emerging viruses and other topics relating to infectious disease.
Her interests include pathogenesis of emerging disease, chronic disease mechanisms, public health interventions to improve community health, pandemic preparedness, response, mitigation and prevention, and the promotion of health literacy to share messages of prevention against infectious and chronic disease challenges.
